Hey guys, I have a panasonic deck that has changer control on it, but i was told that it HAS to be a panasonic changer in order for it to use the built in changer control. Is this true?

Also i was wondering what other good MP3 decks out that that aren't super expensive that have built in changer controls that can be used with any changer or that companies changer? I saw a changer that jvc makes that i like, but i would want a deck that has built in controls for it..

I don't think a universal changer controller exists...why would any company in their right minds do that?

You could get an FM modulator, but the sound quality isn't that great.

I had an Apline 6 disc in my car and it worked great, I would recommend it.(with an alpine deck)

Yeah, even the cheapest Alpine head units have changer controls now I believe, so you don't have to spend a ton of money.

great thanks :)

I'm looking to get an alpine deck and an alpine 10disc (preferably) for around $500.. i havne't looked too far into it but is that a reasonable amount to get a decent deck and changer? :dunno:

All of the alpine units with the "CDA" model designation have CD Changer controls, the entry level being the CDA9825
