Maybe some turbo experts can explain this to me...The CT-26 you see in the pic, it has a notch on the compressor retaining nut or whatever you call it....my CT I just got has TWO notches on opposite ends....is that normal? Thanks

Thats not his turbo, its a pic he found. He wanted to know the difference, AND his turbo shaft is SNAPPED IN HALF... so I dont reallly think he has to worry about fins lol

Yea..Thats shaved off to balance the turbo. As for the blades, they are toast. With material missing on the blades, it will cause the impeller to rotate at an imbalanced rate and eventually cause greater damage down the road.

That turbo needs at least a new compressor impeller, and possibly a new compressor housing, depending on how badly damaged those blades chipped up the housing.

Bryson, I got that pic as an example. I am buying a turbo off abdul and it DOES NOT have that kind of impeller damage. It just has two ground marks so I was curious about that. Thanks dude, Supras for life!

...err..how do the blades end up getting messed up like that? I'm not a turbo owner so I don't have alot of hands on experience with em but I dont really see how the fins got so messed up like that..anyone wanna shed light? :)
