BT speed help?

I use shaw and i'm using a smc router sharing the connection between 3 computers, and when we bought the router and wireless adapters future shop set it up for us for free but my download speed for bittorrents are so damn slow. Since i use bittornaddoes my status light is always yellow, meaning i'm behind a firewall or proxy server so does anyone know how i can rout through my firewall to change the internet speed?

In your router's setup, there should be a menu something like private/public servers or virtual servers. In here, enter the internal IP of your computer, which should be 192.168.X.X. If you don't know what your internal IP address it, it should be under a menu like status or something that shows all the clients connected to the router.

Using your router's set up, forward all the ports from 6881 to 6891, and forward port 6869 for uploading. In You shouldn't need more than 10 open ports for downloading. Hope that somewhat helps.
