there is a huge story about this on G2IC. THis dudes ebay short shifter broke or something. Everybody was on his case about it, and now hes got a killer G2 Integra, a real monster.

Well considering he would be at redline in third, and he dropped to second...........the engine was forced to try to hit probably 10,000 rpm when it was at probably 4-5000 rpm. Can you say wheel lockup + fwd = we are hittin the ditch baby!!

His post is right actually. Remember that most cars' braking systems are designed to stop the car in a controlled manner, especially those with ABS. When the engine slows the car down, theres a lot of things that contribute to what happened in the video - IE open diff, plus a tremendous amount of braking torque from the engine trying to cope with the speed of the drivetrain which will cause the fronts to slow down enough that theres no longer any traction. Just like FWD's torque steer on hard acceleration, you get torque steer on hard engine braking.

So in essence, tires with no grip plus torque steer plus the possiblity that only one side of the diff grabbed means that car ig going to fly out of control.
