Believe or not, this Carrera S is $146k plus tax ! near fully loaded ! good value compare to 996 ! :thumbsup:
Interior is also World class ! damn Luxury ! :clap: :clap:

Actually .... I don't mind the look for the 996 headlight, however, ROUND headlight is the trademark for Porsche 911 !
996 headlight is more fashionable .. but this 997 . is just a bit nicer everywhere( I like the new interior ! ) .. and selling in a unbelieve bargain price in Canada ! Carrera is around $120K plus taxes for a loaded one, same price as 996, and 355HP Carrara S, $130K+ taxes can get a reasonable loaded one ... :thumbsup: that is probaby why .. most of them are sold ! :bigpimp:
Convertiable model will come as 2006 model, C4 is coming too ... and a new Twins Turbo will come out for 2007 model ! :drool: :drool:

Still like the old 911's and 930's better, much more road presence, and in my personal opinion much better styling, theres just something wrong with with rear ends of new porsches, especially the boxter, it just looks fucked from the back..I was an 80's kid, the 911 was the shiznit then, maybe thats why I like it more..
Believe it or not, I still like the FC3s more than that car..

The new 911 doesn't have a widebody available for the S model anymore, that is why it is only $15K more over the regular 911. That's a shame, WIDE body pwnz!
The new headlights are much better than the first "boxsteresque" 996 headlights but the turbo versions were alright...
All in all a very beautiful redesign...in fact Pops is in line for an S.

I saw one at the dealership and the S was 100kUS... almost as much as a 996 Turbo. We'll have to see how much the 997 Turbo is to properly judge the price. That means a Carrera S Cabriolet could be as much as, say, a 996 Turbo Cab.:eek:
But I love this car, it's very nice and the interior is one of the best I've seen in any car. The leather is soooo fine! Before you sit in it you just want to feel the leather of the seat as you get in...:drool:

my dad was thinking about selling his turbo to get the cab version
i told him it just doesn't look right as a convertable and even the guys at the porsche dealer here were saying that

For trading his 996TT to a 996TT cab, he better buy a "EXTRA" nice cab, such as Z4, Mini Coops Cab, or even coming SLK ... etc ...
I love the Turbo Cab ... and they sell like crazy (in Cali ) however, not big seller in Calgary ! and I still like the line of the 996TT coupe more ! but still, for $220K, the 996TT cab is still a good bargain ! by "saving" a full $100K compare to the 360 ! :rofl:

if my dad were to sell his car and get another car though, it would be for a used 360 since they're gonna take another big hit when the 430 comes :clap:

gemballa always finds a way to destroy the look of a porsche. ALWAYS. From the absolutely hideous 930 Gemballla with its dual tri tipped exhaust, to this car and its rediculus double spoiler. it seems gemballa knows how to get power out of these vehicles, but they need to murder whoever is in charge of styling....
but i must admit, they are getting less terrible...
