ENGINE IS A 350 CRATE ENGINE, has been cammed, with lifters, has hedmen headers and a full custom dual exhaust, TRANNY IS A TURBO 350 3SPEED, the engine is suppose to have only like 25,000kms on it, body has like 369,000, there is some rust, mostly surface, the passenger dorr is dented in..
comes with lite blue late 80's supra seats, not mounted yet.. but they are mint.. pic r down below..
the truck does need some work.. pm for info,, but when running real good this truck is super super fast.. run truck,, lost insurance must sell.... oh ya, this truck used to be standard, sop if u have having the 3 spoeed auto, it won't be hard to get a standard tranny in there, the clutch pedal and all the crap is still there..

the truck does run, i drive it everyday, the seats r not bolted in yet, the timing needs to be done, just a good tune up would be great for itm, and the ignition, needs to be fixed. should be a small thing to fix

Lol , the 22R... my buddy has one in his yota 4x4 , 200 HP and can rev it to like 8000Rpm with out a miss.... :thumbsup:

i don't beleiev there has ever been a enigne fire,, its just dirty, those pics were taken at nite so it looks alot darker.. and i am in sw calgary for mentel

again for the record.. some of u r gettin the idea that this truck is a total beater.. from some of my pms i am gettin, the truck is drivable.. its not a total heap.. just needs some attention.. if u spend like not even $400 on the engine this thing would haul ass.. it doesn't need alot fo work.. just a really good tune up, plugs, manifold gasket.. nuthing major....

I would like the block number to see if I can look up the build sheet from Goodwrench and find out what internal parts it has.

Another idea is to research the original owner. He would have some idea as to where the engine came from and may know more about the block.

I remember him posting some information on an earlier thread. He may help us find out what motor you have.

I bought that truck for DIRT cheap and did the basic maitenence to get it running, lasted me for a summer of work, there was no fire when I owned it 2yrs ago. I lowered it, changed the U joint but never fixed the front susp.

I see you fixed the rad, it exploded on me on Deerfoot trail on a 30* day:devil:

just wondering, what kind of mileage do u get out of this thing and is it safe to drive from calgary to Red deer the way it is now

ya its safe to drive.. the brakes need to be bleed or sumthing though, but they work.. gas mileage,, i never really paid that much attention.. probably around 350kms a tank, tank is like 45 bucks,, well when it was like 82.c. a l.. buts with a good tune up i am sure it will get better mileage

Here is a rough cost breakdown of a typical S10 with a V8 swap.

1- $100-$500 85 s-10 with blown motor and body in moderate shape.
2-$100-150 for a used Transmission (th350 and PYP shifter set-up)
3-$400 exhaust. This is possibly the most valuble part of the truck. $200 dollar Hedman headers, dual mufflers etc.
4-$100 engine mounts/V8 rad and e-fan ( normal V8 swap parts)
5-$200 Rims and tires. People still like the old-school Camaro rims.
6-$200 lowering parts. Some combination of spindles, blocks, leaves or springs.
7-Unknown value motor

=$1200 plus value of motor and installation time.

These trucks take around this much to build, with some new parts and some bargain parts.

If I knew some of the details of the motor. I could help you more accurately assess its worth.

I would either research this block a bit ( casting numbers) or give it a quick dyno for 60 dollars.

180hp to the wheels, it is a stock rebuild=$300 motor.
250hp to the wheels, it is a great performance motor=$1200 motor.
300hp to the wheels, it is a aluminum headed race motor=$2000+ motor.

You can see that the block is the greatest variable.

If you give a little more information on the truck that you are selling, you would find it quite easy...

I am an easy person to sell things to, I just need as much information as you can get.
