Looking to get a new car - I need something around 10-15K, sporty of course, and enough power from the factory to go without modding it cause it costs too much cash. What do you guys suggest? Possible ideas im playing around with are: Prelude and BMW right now but I know there are tons out there that i'm missing. I don't want a civic or anything slower than my integra, I need something with good go. What comes to mind? Oh ya, I don't want anything too old either.

Good choice but i'm worried about the insurance and reliability of these. I've had my integra for two years now without a single mishap and i'm kind of used to that kind of service from a car...I want to keep my teg and i'm really in no hurry to sell it but i'm tired of driving the same thing for this long.

My car is up for grabs (merkur Xr4ti) for $5500 hehehe....

Use the rest of your budget for perf goodies and I'm sure you'll be in the 12s club:D

Damn, buy my car, and spend the rest of the money on mods, you'll have a car that will desimate most.

Take the $15K and put it as a downpayment towards any car you want.

there's an e30 325 (BMW) coupe here for sale . Black, M3 body kit, spoiler, rims, shaved BMW emblems. I think it might be in your price range. If you're interested let me know I'll hook you up with the contact info.

I love MrX's merkur but not my kinda car. I gotta get rid of my integra fast, so if anyone knows someone interested get em to PM me - I'll let it go for a pretty decent price since the km's are high on it (208, I know..thats why its going at a good price). I know a white bmw 325 for sale that my neighbor is trying to sell, but it looks so nice it might not be in the price range.

It took me 5 months to decide on a new car. I just waited and waited until the perfect deal came along and I jumped on it!

I'd love to do that, but then i'm stuck with 15k sunk down, and payments after. Who wants to do that??!

Well if your car is running well, I suggest you should keep it. You can get alot of decent cars for $15K but when you buy used, caveat emptor man!

Yeah. There's actually a lot different between the Cossie YB engines and the XR engines. Not only was the problem that only the middle bolts lined up, the Cossie head is also 3" shorter than the XR head. dah well.

There's still lots of mods for the XR engine which will make it a more than compentent contender power wise. Only thing with the XR engine is you'll run into a power ceiling much quicker than the Cossie engine.

I was in your position a little while back... check these:

300ZX Twin Turbo - ~$15,000
1992-1995 E36 BMW's - 318IS to 325IS
1993 Audi S4 (yes, I said S4) - $15,000 (listed a month ago)
1988-89 E30 BMW M3 (older style M3, but still kicks ass)

Good luck!
