$1100

Thats how much money I don't have to fix my dent.

From the pictures, you can't tell how fucked up the body panel is. You can't tell how 'wavy' the once straight panels were.

I don't care about that anymore, all I want is my door to be flush with the moulding. (I took off the moulding, straighted it, pushed most of the dent out, put it back. However that dent you see is what I couldn't push out.

Well it pushed out, but popped back in once I put any pressure on it (re-applied door moulding).

I currently have my inner door panel opened up.

I'm thinking about stickin a block of wood to push the dent out, and just re-sticking my moulding on (held on by 3m double sided tape).

Anybody have any experience or suggestion or comments?

I went to D-N-T today and they said my dent is too big for them.

I went to a bodyshop in crowfoot and they said 1100. Even if I shop around for a good deal, I'm sure the cheapest would be 8-900. I just don't have that kinda cash.

heellllpppppp meeeeeeeee!

No, thats a terrible deal. Call Manera Refinishing.

How much do you think it will cost from there?

I'll try to get a quite sometime tomorrow maybe.

I really wanted to avoid insurance, but if theres nothing I can do, I'll probably have to get it under insurance and find the best bodyshop in calgary.

BUT...how do you think insurance will handle it, if I attempted to fix it myself first? I didn't do any more damage...its better than it was before. Also the only cracked paint was behind the moulding...so i used touchup paint on it and filled it with some rust inhibitor.

thanks

Dont even mention you tried to fix it to your insurance company..

btw - that dent should be much cheaper if you decide to get a private body man to repair it for you...
