Wiring --- 97 CR-V

Hey everyone, I'm new here and I really like this community, I see alot of helpful people and information here.

I was hoping someone could answer a couple questions I had about wiring a new HU in my CR-V.

I have no clue where to start on wiring, is there an easy way to do it for newbs? I've been reading up a little and I see that using a wiring harness really helps, but how do you use one?

Maybe theres a couple websites that can help me out big time?

Well, any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Head unit wiring is as follows.
12 volts- White/red
ground- black
switch- yellow/red
illumination- red/black
left front- green with black dots/light green
right front- green with yellow/grey with red
left rear- blue with white/blue with black
right rear- pink/blue with yellow
