Ya, neat looking car. I saw one a SEMA about a year ago in Vegas. I think Ford will do well with this chassis compared to previous models.

I think its fucking ugly and I'm a die hard mustang owner. I think Ford absolutely ruined the concept cars look and spit out the ugliest version of the Mustang since the Mustang II.:thumbsdow

Its an evo throwback to the Mustang's finest year - the 67 Fastback. I think it looks great :dunno: but taste is a personal choice and not everyone is going to like the same thing.

Yeah, he was chillin' out at Esso on the pay-phone and I got a good look at it. It was F'd up. I liked it, but I can understand "89 coupe's" point of view.

However, when the concept came out I was really excited as it looked incredible. However they completely got rid of everything that looked good for the production car.

Dealers dont get preproduction. It would either be a press car or a car show unit

that interior does look cheap >_< and those tail lights... looks like the previous gen lights but worse ? Iono, I think it'll sell because its a cheap, high horsepower car - Mustang's always have been.. Looks kinda cool tho, could use some spicing up

The interior may look cheap, but the whole car wont be. I was talking to a guy at Woodridge Ford about a month back, and he was saying that these new Mustangs will be more money than the ones out right now.

It screams "Douse me with gasoline and burn me to the ground"

Whoever approved the final look for this car should be shot. I can only pray that they improve the look for the Cobra.

better tell him to take it back cause its cylinder heads are goin to blow up... and hopefully, just hopefully it burns to the ground.

awsome looking car, came up to some of us a few nights ago, I think he was getting an article and photos done with a newspaper, not sure just a guess though.. comes out in november.

Interior dash lights change to 100+ different colors

I agree with Troy... At least put some nice tires on a car thats soo fucking expensive... Jeez... Honestly... I wouldnt even give that car a 2nd look if I saw it on the road... Prefer the old mustangs...

Alot of the lines from the concept, and general badass look seem to have been lost. For now though, all I demand is a better exterior color, and wider tires - especially for the rear and I can live with it. Maybe also drop it a bit. I think what was so appealing with the concept car was the 20" wheels and lack of wheel gap, but we know they won't put those on a production car, so a drop would close the gap a bit and possibly give it a meaner stance (in conjuction with some wider tires)

There is also rumored to be an 18" factory wheel once they work through some issues. The ones on the pictured car are 17's.

-Puts on flame suite-

The interior looks and feels damn good imo.. That was one of the points being made about the new stang was that the interior quality was actually on par for a car in its price range for once. After checking it out for myself, touching it, and comparing between my old 89 Mustang, and the 02 Mustang I have now, I completely agree with what I have read - it is progress. The fit and finish is just excellent and makes me jealous. It may look cheap, but pictures don't tell the story. Trust someone who has owned a couple mustangs. This is progress - interior wise, can't say the same for the exterior which needs work.

Although I really agree with the tire thing, I wouldn't exactly consider these cars expensive. A new sports car for 30-35K is cheap period. I can't see there being much of a price increase considering most websites are suggesting that price range already.

haha, probably because they saw what the production cost would be.

The interior IMO screams "Lets use the most inexpensive thermal plastic we can find and couple it with bland color pigment and fake aluminum trim"

The back end looks buggered up, the spoiler is outta place...looks like one from a early 90's vette, and the fit and finish of the interior peices looks bad, notable where the console meats the devider between the seats...lots of room to get it caught on stuff. It looks like a truck dash, large and abrupt.

The wheel choice is poor too...looks like it's missing center caps or something, the wheels look unfinished.

The engine bay looks like a big jumbled consortium or wires and tubes. hardly refined when you see all the other manufacturers engine bays, even a nice engine cover would suffice. The front grille also looks cheap, the headlights look cheap... I dunno...just looks like a lot of corners were cut for something in that price range.

So im guessing this is the future of mustangs? I like it, but I like the idea that there will be no more stangs out there like mine(besides the ones already produced). Though its only a 03 it already feels like an antique compared to these

BTW those pics, they are photo-shopped ya?

I've owned a couple of Mustangs myself, and the new production version seems a little nicer in terms of looks - both exterior and interior. I think once people start modifying them with after market body kits you'll be able to get a much nicer look than the stock version.

New rims and tires, exhaust, etc. and away you go...
