That name always bothered me "strawberry face" such a wussy name for a car that has no resembelance to a strawberry. At least none that I can see

180SX with an S15 front end is called "Strawberry Face" because the sound of "fifteen" and "strawberry" in Japan are very similar.

This car's final shipping quote was around $18,000 if I remember right. Importconcern brought this thing into the country :) if I were them, I would be bragging about the nice ass cars they find.

do you know how much 68,000 yen in canadian is?

thats right 799.801 CAD........

my friend has an autotrade like magazine from japan. the used car are dirt cheap, 40,000 to 100,000 yen (400 to 1200cdn) for used cars. for 18,000cdn, i rather build my own.

you wouldn't be able to build this car for 18,000cdn. it only had <50,000km, SR20DET, full front end conversion, rims, beautiful tires, exhaust, full coilovers, so on nice paint job.

Um, you got your numbers wrong, this car was 680,000 JPY, so you're looking at $8000 just for the car. S15-80's are not dirt cheap in Japan, the conversion is expensive, especially if done well. The car was well under $18,000 to import. So it was an even better deal, you could not build the same car and get the same original condition, low mileage and bonus modifications (and right hand drive) for what this car was imported for.

Sorry to revive such an old thread. Just wanting to add that Ive met the guy, he was at autodreams getting parts for his car a few weeks back. Saw some drifting video of his. Damn he's skilled.

I thought the car was at auction with a reserve of $16,000 and eventually the owner couldn't sell it so he was selling it privately for $18,000? I read that on the importconcern forum way back in the day, like May even.
