My buddies brand spankin new bike was stolen from right in front of his house (sundance) last night from 12pm - 8am. If anyone spots one getting trucked around, try to let us know.

The only mods were some frame sliders and some spools with the suzuki 'S' on the sides, and it had 5000 km on it.

I feel for him cause that sucks. But anyone with a bike should know not to leave it out in the open like that for that long. Especially overnight :( Hope he finds it!!! thats really sad to hear. And those with bikes take this as a lesson. Put your bikes away!! lock them up! They are our babies :) I will keep an eye out here in Edmonton and goodluck with the search!

Fuck man, I live in sundace, this place used to be safe, I'll keep my eyes peeled but it's unlikely to turn up anywhere in this end of the city.

only thing is to park in well lit areas or busy streets, thiefs can still steal a bike no matter what... if they wanted to they'll steal it! only takes a few minutes with ur backs turned.... so Keep an eye on ur bike!:burnout:

I got a viper alarm system for my bike... you can get GPS trackers, etch systems (those are like $190, and if the bike is stolen, the company could reimburse you for up to i think $6G on top of what your insurance co will give u), those kryptonite bike locks aren't that great tho, there's actually a video on the net here on how easy it is to pick that lock

Mods can unsticky this now I guess. It's most likely in many, many peices right now.

will keep an eye out, the bike will definately stand out if somebody is riding it, considering there isnt many on the road now.
should that link still work for the pic of the bike??

The only thing I can suggest is buying a shed and putting it in your backyard and locking the bike up in that. Or even if you can chain it to something. Might not stop them but its too easy a target if you do nothing. Or as a last resort, yes park it in the house-one of the best looking pieces of furniture around if you ask me.
