yeah, i have the site on my favorites, only one cavy this month, im going to go and see what kind of shape it is in.

i know a little bit about cars, but I am no mechanic. thats the problem with buying a car from the cop auction. who knows if it even runs? and i have to get it towed out to airdrie :(

well with the police auction they charge you liek $50 over and above what you bid, for towing fees, which you HAVE to pay the towing fees and it can only be delivered within calgary... 99% of them do not have keys because they are cars that broke down on the road, or got repo'd from DUI's or other crimes... however they do have a key cutting service on site that you pay them (like $45) and they will cut new keys and have them delivered with the vehicle.

so the police auction is a craps shoot, but for the saving its a chance you have to be willing to take.

I didn't know they have them listed on a website, what is it?

I bought one there a couple years ago for $100, it ran fine all winter & I sold it for $400. You also have to pay to have keys made.

http://www.calgaryparking.com/auctioninfo.php3

and its tough to get em for $100 now because of all the dealers that go.

vehicles can be added or removed from the list up to auction time.
