I need a new turbo for my first gen dsm. I want somthing better than the 14b, but dont want to have to make a custom manifold or anything for a t3/t4 or somthing that big. What is the best bolt on turbo for an everyday driver that i take to the track a fair bit?
Performance wise I have all the free mods done, a 3" downpipe-back exhaust, and centerforce racing clutch so far.

The 16G is a popular choice from what I have read. Maybe get the EVO III 16G, exhaust manifold and O2 sensor.

The Evo 16G would be your best bet...

it spools very similar to the 14B and has a nicer top end...

Also it bolts on directly into the manifold you currently have...for a nicer upgrade as was mentioned...Yes, do swap on the EVO Manifold, and O2 Housing as well...just make sure you have supporting fuel mods for the upgrade, as the 16G both Small, Big, and Evo flow greater CFM's, than your stock fuel system can handle safely...

There is also the Mistu 20G which is what i am currently running...its more suited for Drag Racing applications than that of a stop light to stop light turbo...

If you have anymore questins feel free to post or PM me...take a look at the links I have given you...

Arif.

As Black Shadow stated...he's willing to install it for you...As far as getting all of that stuff locally...I havent really found anywhere...BUT...Mach V Motorsports are great out of the U.S. as is Road Race Engineering...they have all the upgrade parts you will need...I provided links for them in the first post I made in this thread...

Unfortunately Allan...the GT series snails don't bolt up per say...you need a new manifold in order for them to work...or at least an adapter plate...

but the other two...the 16G and the Evo 16G are great...they bolt up to the Factory manifold...whether 1G or 2G and retain all factory oil and water lines as well...(with a lil careful bending)...

I miss my 16G...
