Which sub to go with

hey whats up? i need some advise i was looking at gettin a pair of new subs but i'm not sure weather to go with an alpine type r or with the jl w3v2? or if anyone has anyother suggestions within the same price range let me know.

JL for sure but they are a bit more pricey.

What is your price range? Are you going with 8, 10, 12, or 15" How much power will you have available. Would you consider one subs instead of a pair? In many cases one high end sub will out preform 2 lower end subs.

Are you looking for sound quality or just plain loudness. Or perhaps a mixture of both. Like 40% SPL (or loudness) and 60% SQ (sound quality)

Once you determine the goals and limits that you have we can be able to suggest the right sub for you.

i was thinking of spending hopfully under $500. either with 2 10" or 2 12" depeneding on the price will consider a single 12". right no i have a jbl 1200.1 amp that will power whatever sub i decide on. also looking for sq but want some spl so a mix.

ohh i forgot to say i also have a kenwood kac-7201 that could power them. it is rated at 800 watts max 150x2 and 460x1
