Nice piece of equipment but the MD is kinda dead here in NA with the storage capabilities of ipod ect.

Why are these units so expensive when a MD walkman is around $200 and can do all of the same things? I'd buy it if it wasn't so much.

i think since there is such a limited audience that uses md, the price reflects the popularity. I think if more people bought them, they could lower the price ( like vcrs after 5 years of them coming out, etc.)

For those of us who use md, they are good. I like mine alot. Yes the ipods etc are gaiing popularity and are a solid product. Md never skip either, and the discs are pretty cool. Ill keep mine and continue to use.

The new sonic stage 2.0 works real good for transferring music to the md. I have heard that it doesnt keep track of the check ins / check outs like the last 1.5 did.
