Adobe coverletter?

Just a quick question as to coverletter format. MS word is frustrating in that when you email your resume and coverletter the formatting sometimes changes. Will most places accept them if they are in adobe format?

i dont see why not... but you could also try saving it in html format... that might solve your reformatting issues.

I think a PDF looks more professional anyhow. It also keeps it from being edited. Everyone has acrobat reader on their PC's, so it shouldn't be a problem sending it out in that format.

You should check with the place that you are applying too. If they scan the resumes, they might not be set up to scan .pdf files.
