I just bought a car from a mechanic who claimed to own the car. Unfortunately for me, he doesnt own the car and he has taken my money. I have the car but it is not registered under my name because he hasnt given me the ownership papers (he always has an excuse as to way he doesnt have it). I have reciepts that say I gave him money.
So now I am wondering about what steps I have to take to get my money back, because he doesnt seem to have the ownership or the money.
Can some please advise me?

The Po-po will help him? haha yah right. All those pigs can do is eat donuts and right :bullshit: tickets those mother lovers! I was in a similar situation not to long ago. I called the 5-0 and they said "it is a civil matter", we told them the car looks stolen, and they say "get a carfax or run it at the registry". So I got ahold of the guy myself and straightened it out.

Scammers = :thumbsdow
CPS = :bullshit: :thumbsdow :thumbsdow

That is not a civil matter. It's theft, which the police can go after him for.
