a friend wants to get a Mazda 3, but they're charging 4.9% financing.. she's looking for something lower.. She didn't give me any details so I don't know what else to tell you guys.

Anyways, anyone have hookups?

4.9% is a good rate for financing and I don't think it is negotiable since rates are set out by Mazda Canada. I don't think any alternative financing with the exception of a secured line of credit would yield a lower rate either.

Word!

Be happy it's not 0.9 like the domestic garbage, at least when you go to sell your car the market wont be flooded with the car and have Zero resale value because of basically free finance rates.

I had asked the salesman at Calgary Honda to try to get a lower lease rate for me on the S2000 a few months back and he couldn't do it. It would have been the 3rd time I dealt with Honda Canada Finance in the past 4 years but they wouldn't budge on the 7.5% so I went with BMW at 3.3%:D

4.9%? Did they just change it? 2 weeks ago the saleman @ Sunridge told me 2.9% for finance and 7.1% for lease.

Unless the saleman didn't know what he's talking about or your friend's credit is not good enough for 2.9%.

I'm doing 2.9% over 3 years....just depends on how much she's willing to pay each month and how much her downpayment was.
