alright.... i've been and test drove one and this is what i want.

a 2004 honda sir

so. they sticker for$24500 + 1000 frieght + tax.

keep in mind the 05's arrive in about a months time and the 04's are "leftovers" i guess you could say. there are no change from the 04 to the 05's.

i have called around to all the honda stealerships in calgary and there all running low on their 04s.... theres only 7 or 8 left in calgary. first should i believe them, i think prolly not.

anywho. what should i offer to start the bidding?

i was thinking $21,000 mayber? or is that too low?

others that i've talked to have payed $26,000 with tax and freight, but i want it cheaper lol :D

1 - what should i offer

2 - how should i go about going from dealer to dealer to make them compete with each other?

thanks for the help guys!!!

Get a quote on paper if possible. Then drive around telling dealerships that dealer "x" said this much and so on.

The more time spent looking the lower the price, most of the time!

When we bought my GF's civic SI the salesguy told us that there was a 2000-3000 rebate on the car from Honda canada itself.

Normally .. there is only 7-9 % mark up on high demanding import cars...

However, as luder said, there is something called " factory rebate " .. if Honda offers some rebate, that is different story ..
otherwise, low interest rate, or may be around $1500 discount is what you can get ... :)

yah but there's more room to negotiate on a 48K Truck (we've bought 2 new trucks in the last 2 years for the family business), than on a 26K sport compact. He's got the right idea by low-balling to find middle ground. But I'd be impressed with his negotiating skills if he got anything more than the "factory rebates" and etc... :dunno: Good luck man :)

Just go to stealershop and sit there for minimun 4hours..then
they're gonna tell what they can do for you...
For me 22,500-23,000 sounds about right

hahaha I never try that not showering.....

Asking $21K is good, what's the worse that can happen?

If the rebate is true, you can get it @ $21K easy. Without the rebate tho, $22K would be reasonable. But someone gotta comfirm there's a rebate going on.

Great color choice! One of the best colors to get on a honda ;)

How much was it when it was all said and done?
