Mine was right beside the fuel rail on the passenger side. It should be near the inake manifold or rather on the intake manifold seeing as that's where the exhaust gasses get recirculated to.

Here are some pics:

wow,... that is dirty!!!

maybe that's the one good thing about J-bod's,..LOL,... a digital 3 solinoid egr,...LOL virtually maintenance free,... I've known of only 2 cases where the egr failed,... and that's in 4 diff j-bod forums.

Mind you it's pretty easy to disconnect and block it off,... and even just turn it off with reprogramming the chip,...LOL

LUDELVR: looks like you were making a block-off plate too?

I just reprogrammed mine not to open at all.

aaahhh the things we do to try and gain 1/8hp,... LOL

haha, yah, I made a block off plate, I wanted to try it out on my F/I'd application. It worked out okay, no problems, although I did try and just disconnect last time and it throws a code so on the obd1 cars, blocking it off doesn't throw the code. I think I'm gonna take it out and run the valve when I get back to Canada though.
