View Full Version : I've got full mischief vid, now how do I watch it..help please!!!!!

I got the mischief vid on cd, my sony dvd wouldnt play it, the computer told me no combination of filters could be found. What is going on I want to watch this vid so bad, how can I do it, what am i missing.
it's in mpeg2 format i believe...
any help is totally appreciated

You might just need some video codecs to play it on your pc.

Make sure you have the latest divx codecs. release 5, I believe.

And you can get more codecs from microsoft for Windows Media Player

http://download.microsoft.com/download/winmediatech40/Install/8.0/WIN98Me/EN-US/wmpcdcs8.exe

SDVD? :dunno:

If your Sony DVD player is a PS2, it might not work, I know a _stock_ X-BOX won't play any type of copied CD/software/DVD.

just windows media player , the new version it said the right combination of filters could be found...should I redownload media player? I have divx to but it's just not doing anything.

ill try to get divx again, what is sdvd anyway..this comp doesn thava dvd player in it, ill try my laptop that has one...

And update to the newest media player... or try opening the file individually in the divx player that comes with divx 5 package

Check www.vcdhelp.com...

Maybe you might find some info there. If worse comes to worse, you can convert your file to a format that your codecs can handle.

convert it is that hard to do , im fucked ..i want to watch it so bad..thanks for the help so far...i cant wait to get this fixed

if its just a vcd, just drag the .dat file in the mpeg folder to quicktime application... that's what I do with VCD on my mac..

No, not at all. Just follow the instructions on that website. It just takes a long time if your computer is slow, so if you have an older computer, maybe leave it over night while it converts.

ok here's what worked, windvd made it work, the problem is, only for 5 minutes and it costs to get the real version, if i have to buy it i will but is there a program similar to it that I can download for free?
ill try and convert it right now, if I can
