Hi Guys'
I'm new to this forum. I could use help on cleaning my car. I's a dark green Malibu. Whats a good carwash soap, to use in a bucket of water, not a hose.
Any reply would be appreciated.

Thanks Hagis:confused:

most soaps are good just as long as you rinse it well and dry it before all the dust sits on the water spots

go to canadian tire or walmart and buy those 2 dollar for 4litres..they are good enough

DefektiveVibe,
Thanks for the quick response. I didn't think it would be that easy.
Thanks again.

I don't know if you said that as a joke, trying to screw over hagis.

But yeah, palmolive will take off your wax. So don't use it, big no-no.

Best bang for the buck I find.

If you noticed, each car wash soap has a different soap and water percentage mixture. Just because you're buying a big tub of soap for a great price doesn't mean it'll last.

I use Dawn dish soap to remove old wax.

Is it true that if u wash ur car at home, ur not allowed to use soap of any kind?Cuz I heard from a buddy that his dads friend got a fine $500 for it cuz the water goes down stream into the sewer...and since theyres soap in it..its dangerous to environment...

i heard that too, but i thought that if you use certian types of soap, like car soap, its alright, but if your using like dishwasher soap, then thats a different story, but i'm not 100% on this

use anything but the mr. clean or dish soap. dish soap is a no brainer but i was surprised that mr. clean cut through my nanowax coat in less than a month.
