PRICE DROP!!! NOW SELLING FOR $27,500.00

I'm selling my 2003 Acura RSX Type-S. I had a thread up yesterday, but made a mess of it, so this is round 2... hopefully it's more informative and clearer:

Basic Info:
Model Year: 2003

Location: Edmonton, AB, CAN

KM's: 15280

Listed price: $27,500.00 - I'm willing to move quite a bit though, since I need to sell ASAP! Make an offer, any offer, and I will seriously consider it.

Interior Colour: Black leather w/ Ming treatment
Exterior Colour: Black w/ Ming finish

Engine: This is the Type-S model, so it's got the high performance engine, suspension and tires, on a 6 speed manual transmission. It redlines at 7900 RPM, so it roars when you're wrapping it up. It has the upgraded engine, suspension and transmission when compared to the Premium or Base model RSX's. It's 0-60mph number was 6.5. For a stock car under $30,000.00, that's an impressive stat.

Exterior: The car is practically new. I've driven it for less than a year total, so the body is mint. The Ming finish gives it a wicked factory-like shine (take a look at the pics). There are a few dings in the passenger door from some 'special' person in a parking lot, but besides that, it's like new.

Interior: The interior is truly like out of the factory. It still has the new car smell. There aren't any tears, scratches, marks... nothing. The interior is very clean and very well maintained.

Other: The car comes with a Bose sound system w/ 6disc in dash CD changer and cassette deck, power sunroof, power doors and locks and windows and mirrors, Tinted windows; Upgraded headlights (super bright); Gold package lettering.

So, all in all, this car is used, but pretty much new. Check out all the pics I'll post below.
Like I said, I'll consider every offer given. I know most cars on this forum aren't priced this high, but there's only got to be one person interested in this sweet ride to make a sale. So, if you're interested and want to make an offer, or know somebody who would be interested, then contact me asap.
I really do need to sell this ASAP as I need to get some funds in a hurry to pay some other stuff off.

My direct number is (780) 966-3636, pm me, or post replies, and I'll be checking.

Any other questions, let me know. Thanks, and someone make me an offer!!!

Nice Car,

0-60mph in 6.5 Seconds is pretty impressive =)

ya, it's not bad for a stock $30k car... nothing when you compare it to some of the modified rides out there, or even some stock cars, like the STi... now there's a car.... But ya, it definitely does the trick!

so you said you would go low cus u need funds ... how low are you talking about. Im looking to buy a second car, most likely a 01 prelude SH, however they are all in the 20,000 range. If you need to sell it that bad let me know.

i can't go $20k low. I've had offers around $25k, but when the car is selling on AutoTrader and the likes for over $30k (after tax), then I'm pretty sure I want to be in the upper $20 thousands. But, if someone were to offer $29,500 down to $28,500... I would definitely consider it.

I own a Type S... it is a very nice car... faster than a lot of people give it credit. Nice small diameter steering wheel, 6-speed tranny that is second to none... very nice car for the price. This is a very refined car and react very well to mods.

Free bump for a nice ride.

i think u r price is high man !! Compared to this one:

http://www.hotwheelsauto.com/product_view.php?id=106

price around 22-24g's is reasonable!

1. This car has about 1/7 the km the other car has.
2. That car is riced 2 shit.
3. This is a Type S, search it some time, the main reason why the car is so much more expensive...

I think if you got this car for 25G you would be getting a good deal..

Ya, the Hotwheels RSX is an '02 as well... and with all those rice mods, you have to know that that car was bagged to ****.
Anyway, I haven't driven mine enough to even want to put mods on it - no time and not around enough. But, so ya know, I based my price off of Autotrader. There's a guy in Calg whose got his listed at 27,995 and he's got double the kms that I do... same car though. So, I'm pretty close to being where I should be, but if someone were to offer me enough to pay off my bank loan on the car... then good things just might happen!! ;)

Alright, here it is. Since I appreciate everyone's opinion on what the price should and shouldn't be, here's the actual, paid-for breakdown of the price. And this is pretty much my only bargaining tool being given away. You won't get a dealer showing you this, or pretty much anyone else. Since I'm sure a lot of people are interested in knowing what their car is worth, and I have nothing to hide, here it is.

2003 Acura RSX Type-S - MARKET VALUE PRICE BASED ON canadiancarprices.com FORMULA

Acura RSX Type-S
Trade-in Private Retail
$22,200.00 $23,800.00 $25,700.00

add 6% in Alberta:
$23,532.00 $25,228.00 $27,242.00

MARKET VALUE calculated from canadiancarprices.com:
Private Sale Price: $25,228.00
no a/c deduction: n/a on Type S
add leather: n/a on Type S
km addn or sub.: $1,031.70
add 2% in AB: $504.56
repairs needed: -$0.00
added features:
Tint
Ming
Headlights $300.00 (at least... I entered this number)
TOTAL: $27,064.26
What I want for a profit: ~$500.00

Therefore, my asking price is $27,500.00.

The km difference Formula calculated using industry standard of 24000kms per year.
Based on specific months of driving, and difference of 20634kms @ $.05/km = $1,031.70

So! Now everyone knows where I'm coming from and where most other Type-S car sellers are coming from. The car is definitely more expensive than the Prems or the Bases... so be nice when you see a Type-S priced way higher than you THINK it should be. It's probably pretty legit.
Now, based on this, any takers?

Go for the '04 Spyder b/c I'm not going to go $25k low... you saw the breakdown above. But, when whoever buys the car blows by your Mits, just know what your missing!:D
Thanks for the offer though. Good luck with what you choose.

Anyone else? Offers???
