Hi BMW owners. I recently got a 2000 BMW 323i from my sister. She was in a rush to return to Asia and couldn't find any reasonable offers for her car, so she ordered me to take over. I drove the car all the way from Vancouver to Calgary a few weeks ago. You see I was not prepared to own a BMW at all.

I read some discussions here about BMW dealership in Calgary and the general impression is that the service isn't very good. I hope I can know some people here just in case I need some advice.

Many thanks!

Welcome, Calgary BMW has excellent service. I use to drive a E30 325 and the service I got then was horrid but it has since improved by leaps and bounds. Best advice is to get to know your service rep really well, he/she will treat you like gold.

Welcome !

I used to have an 2000 323Ci as well, when it first came out,
nice car, and super super low maintenance .. super realiable .. and I guess your sister is the original owner ?

You dont' need to do much on that car, since 2000 is still quite new, probaby warranty is already over ... you can get extended warranty ... etc ..

 Welcome !

Yeah .. 323 has 2.5L engine, and 320 has a nice 2.2L straight six engine too ! :)

Winter is coming. Where do you do rust protection? Do I need to do rust protection in Calgary? Many people say Calgary doesn't use salt on the highways, so no need to worry about rust.
