Whats up with all the Marlboros for sale in the marketplace?

Man, talk about a rip off. I pass these out for free at 403 meets cuz they're so cheap to get when travelling out of the country. I always bring back a few cartons everytime me or my brother travel. I can't believe how some people are asking $60-$90 for a carton.

I miss the good old days, when I can walk into any store in Chinatown, and pick up a carton a week of marlboros for $15 a carton.

BTW - for anyone that's wondering, a carton costs $20 at duty free stores when entering the country.

Oh yea, you can also buy it online shipped to your house for $20/carton.

OK no it doesn't, but holy crap thats cheap. I'm kinda glad I didn't know or I probably wouldn't have had the reason to quit. My sister in Ontario lives right by a reserve and she gets cartons there for $25(not a brand that anyone would recognize but apparently they are similar to players). Good price I guess except now she smokes 2 packs a day :thumbsdow

I made money in College selling Marlboro's. Id buy cases down at the border when id go to Pittsburgh and double my money by selling them at residence

its cuz the ones everyone sells here are smuggled illegally since they dont have the "duty paid" sticker on them...smuggled from mexico prolly like 5 bucks a carton

works out to about 80 dollars a carton

for me it's just a change from the usual stuff here

it's also cheaper if it's 60 isn't it?

i think cartons of canadian smokes cost about 80 dollars
they have 25 in each pack and 8 packs in a carton
which works out to 200 smokes in a carton for 80 dollars

in cartons of marlboros it's 10 packs per carton and 20 smokes per pack which also works out to be 200 smokes
but for 60 dollars

so u save money :dunno:

Does anyone know where in Calgary you can get Hawkins Chew? I've heard you can get it at a few high-end Cigar/Smoke shops but I can't find it.

BTW: you can get a carton of canadian cigarettes for less than 70 tax included.

I dont like marlboro's but if someone posted a realistic asking price i wouldn't mind getting a few packs for friends.

Really? I always feel like I've been in a bar after smoking one of those. Such a thick intoxicating aroma. I find canadian cigarettes to be much smoother.

Well I used to smoke Marlboro lights. And Marlboro light menthols. The normal Marlboro reds were a bit too strong for my tastes.

And that intoxicating aroma... mmmmmm.

I can't stand Canadian smokes. Players is not bad, Du Marier is just nasty. Craven menthols are the only canadian smokes that could handle.
