Just wondering what everyones opinion is on this. I need to take my car in to get a couple things looked at. Starter isn't working great and probably needs to be replaced, brake rotors are going and either need to be turned or replaced, fuel gague is broken (its stuck on full), and the engine just sounds a little rough when idling or even at high speeds. The car is a 99 Civic and just under 100,000 km's..

Is it better to take your car to a dealership to have these things looked at, or an external mechanic or shop? Any previous experience or suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

For those specific kinds of issues like the fuel guage and the engine being beat, I would go to a honda dealership. For brakes and other universal things tho, Pretty much any shop will do. Dealerships generally charge more, but for Honda Specific things, I feel it's best to go to a honda specializing place.
