my friend is trying to sell me an 89 CAMARO IROC RWD 8Cyl for $3k, he said there is 210,000 kms, fullyloaded. is this a good deal? I don't know much about american mucsle cars. And if i buy this it would be my first car. BTW its an auto. :(

Prob is that shitty cross-fire injection piece. If it's got TPI, with a 350, and is in decent condition. All of which I doubt, it would be a killer deal.

Just saw the km's, makes more sense now, will need a rebuild.

$3k is not bad of a deal. Real Irocs can usually run anywhere from 2500-10000 depending the the condition and the options it came with. It is possible it might need a rebuild but not more than any other car with 210000 kms on it. And the cross-fire fuel injection only came in a limited number of 82-83 Z28 models and the IROC package didnt start till 85. If this is your first car, I suggest getting it checked out by a mechanic and if everything is decent condition, you will be smoking civics and integras with ease.

more kilometers means the longer it has been driven so odds are the more often it has been bagged, because like you said, it is what these cars are built for.
