Winter Tires Question

Well, it's getting to be that time again....I just was wondering when you guys (and gals) start to throw on your winter wheels and tires. Do you do it at a certain point in the year (ie: end of September, etc) or do you, like most people, wait until the first snowfall to do it? Just curious as to what people on the forum are doing :)
