ok my friend came to me today and said his deck kept going on and off for no real reeason.

I looked at the wiring to the deck and it looked pretty solid, so when i couldnt find anything wrong with the wiring in the deck i thought maybe the connection to the battery just isnt grounded properly since i couldnt even see the connection to the the battery.

what do u guys think??

Thx

it wouldn't be the battery connection as the alternator would still keep up enough power for the deck (since decks take virtually no power) it has to be either the wiring, or something inside the deck... i have heard of problems with some decks when they heat up too much it melts something on the board and screws it up.... your only option is to chekc the wiring agian, and if that doesn't solve it take it out and hook it directly to the battery and see if it still does it... if it doesn't do it hooked directly to the battery than its the wiring, if it does then its the deck.
