1998 Honda Prelude (http://www.canadatrader.com/trader/result/affich.asp?rubno=4000&r=%27CAL%27&ste=&sid=YOWDQ9200491617&issr=1&yfr=1997&yto=0&kfr=0&kto=0&pfr=0&pto=0&dm=1&dp=8&mk=HONDA&md=PRELUDE&kw=&or=0&oby=7&pg=2&vid=1881184)

I know the guy who put the money into this car, and he sold it to buy his Eclipse Spyder. Now this guy is selling it, and I'm pretty sure he sold it for the same price this guy is selling it for.

Do you think $18,500 is a reasonable offer?

EDIT:

I'm also thinking about this Prelude. (http://www.canadatrader.com/trader/result/affich.asp?rubno=4000&r=%27CAL%27&ste=&sid=YOWDQ9200491617&issr=1&yfr=1997&yto=0&kfr=0&kto=0&pfr=0&pto=0&dm=1&dp=8&mk=HONDA&md=PRELUDE&kw=&or=0&oby=7&pg=2&vid=1552664) Maybe I could get him down to $15,500-16,000

That sounds reasonable for that car. Good choice on cars. How many clicks are on this one?

I think it had like 90,000km on it when the previous owner had it. He just sold it to this guy in July, so it can't be much more than 100,000km.

:werd:
Go for the black one for around 15K. No use finishing someone else's project, start with a clean ride.

the black one is decent, but definitely work the price down first.

if you like ricey cars, go with the orange one and leave the black one for someone who appreciates a CLEAN car

The Black Ludes Value is as stated above, IMO i would seriously offer no more than 11 for the black lude man. If u want more quotes from the black book juss msg me.

shariq, black book values are primarily used with dealers buying/selling, to find a car available to the general public at blackbook value would be quite rare IMO.

speed dreams, if the orange lude didnt get an engine swap, they have the same engine ( i think), all BB6 had same engine, someone come and correct me if im wrong.

I have to agree, the black one is HOT, with the money you'll save it will end up a MUCH nicer car (not to mention it's YOU who shaped it in the end)

I just got back from taking the black one for a test spin. I like it, but my dad doesn't think its worth it to buy a used one with no warranty.

He thinks we should go look at ones at a dealership that still have warranty left on them. I picked out a couple from Canada Trader, so tell me what you guys think of these.

Both 2001's:

I really like the blue one, me and my dad are going to go look at Preludes tomorrow afternoon, so if you guys know of any other dealerships that have them in, please let me know! I know that T&T Honda has 2 on their lot right now.

Thanks for any help guys!
