Just purchased this truck for the winter. Sadly, she's only a 2x4, but that's ok, more drifting for me.

Anyways. Anyone know anything about this truck. All I know is that she seems to have a 4-speed auto with overdrive. A Ford 302 V8 that loves gasoline and she doesn't burn oil -- and that's with 244,000KM.

I'm kind of wondering how long this things going to last me. I'm going to take care of it, but the only money she's seeing from me is for gas and for oil changes. Thanks for any info.

When you say loves gasoline, what kind of mileage are you getting?

I'm nearing the end of my second tank (my truck has two 60L tanks) and I'm around 720km. I've got just under a quarter to go.

My 88 Bronco has the 302 efi and has 353000 kms and still going strong.

shouldn't you be asking this before you buy the truck?

Nope. I'm extremely implusive. I liked the truck, so I bought it. I prefer not to make an "exam" out of the whole "buying" ordeal. :)

May you should, it could save you alot of money in the long run,

and with the fuel mileage part, you said you got like 700 some klics on less than 120 liters of fuel, that is pretty good, we have a 350 motor and a 130 liter tank and we are lucky to get 650 or so...

Got a 96 F150 5.8l here, just over 100000km on her, still running strong obveously but other then that, no problems.

keep watch of the diff and the axle seals.

I think the valve covers like to go every once in a while on the five liters... rear main might sweat a bit too.

beat on 'er I say.
