If i make a comprehensive claim on my car and pay the deductible, will my insurance premiums go up?

Premiums could go up, depending on your insurer. You'll lose any no-claims bonus the next time you renew.

i don't mind losing the no-claims bonus, just worried about premiums going up since my insurance is dirt cheap

no claim bonus is what make your premium cheap.
I assume you're at fault. If under $2K, pay it yourself.

Umm comprehensive is fire/theft/vandalism. Sometimes glass, depends what the insurance company calls it.
Xtrema, I think you're thinking of collision coverage.
I believe they are not 'allowed' to raise your premiums, but if you're getting discounts, they will probably disappear. Some insurance companies will raise premiums, even though it's not legal *cough DOMINION OF CANADA cough*.

Yea, this is a comprehensive claim, not collision... hmmm i'm not sure if i'm getting discounts on my insurance but i am paying extremely low insurance for my car, $1700 full coverage for a year. I think i'll pay it myself because my uncle quoted it at $600 and my deductible is $250 or $500
