I'm w/ Heritage Hill Ins. down in the Calgary Automall. They give discounts if you mention that you are part of Cupe 38 union, they didn't even bother to check if I was or not (but I am). They quoted me 1g less then TD Canadatrust for my new car and that was still b4 the Union Discount!!!

Meloche Monnex is good, but I do have home insurance with them and have U of C alumni discount. From other people I've heard from they do have very good pricing. I pay ~ $670/yr comprehensive on my 2001 civic.

well if you're buying your car new, you can do what I did; The sales Rep. I bought off through Ford referred me to ING, and that since I bought from Ford I would get 10% off my insurance. So try asking your dealer, maybe they have some kind of the same agreement with a company

with this new law can someone plz help me out
a company said that the law only passes for liability but how could that be for new drivers you need to get full coverage so i dont get it...

does this new law works for me as i shold be getting 1800/year

I have no accident
1 ticket (be gone by June 2005)
no schooling
been driving for a while now

so dont this new insurance law thing should work for me cause i heard the max is 1800 for new drivers. which mean full coverage cant go on liability since your new.

whenever i call melloche monnex, i must get like the meanest person there. I ask her to get a quote for like a specific car and instead of giving me an exact number she gives me a range:dunno: . but whatever, they are cheap. Blue circle insurance's number is 770-4949, its on cjay like everyday, hahaha

does anybody know if the amount of time for offences to stay on your drivers record has changed? ex. speeding ticket 3 years, serious offences 5 years.

Same here, I have insurance with them and so does my family. From my experience they have been pretty good (filing claims etc).

I've had the opposite experience with them. Every time I call to get an estimate they give me a quote to the exact dollar. When it came time to insure the new car, their quote was accurate to within a couple of dollars.
