Revelstoke has a 24h Chevron that ownz you a buck 9 for premium.

That should tide you over till close to Vancouver. Then once you get to Hope or so there are 24h stations everywhere.

Instead of going to Kamloops, you can go down through Vernon and then Kelowna, and not too long after the bridge joining Kelowna and Westbank you will get onto the Coquihalla. If you choose this route, when your driving through Kelowna there will be at least two 24 hour gas stations on your left hand side (a Petro Canada and a Chevron).

You get 900 kms per tank?!
Does that thing run partly on electricity?

No, its a diesel, and it gets 900 on a tank...IN THE CITY.

We regularly get between 1000 and 1200 on a tank highway driving.

Thats excellent. What years get that kind of gas mileage, and how much are they? Do you have any pics?

We answered the original question, so I feel no remorse for hijacking this thread :D

There are 24h gas stations all along Highway 1. I think that it is actually a law that they have to be open. They will rape you at the top of the Roger's pass though.

www.vw.ca

It's not a hybrid where it looks like some sort of retarded anorexic Jetsons mobile like the hondas and stuff, its a golf or jetta body with a diesel motor instead of gas.

no scorn from me for the hijack =) thanks guys!

We are taking my buddie's echo hatchback, I'll let you guys know the mileage when I get back

In the city he got about 600ish, so 650ish on highway?
For a tiny tank, that ain't bad

I'd be questioning whether it has enough power to MAKE it over the pass, let alone it's gas milage hahaha ;)

You should be able to make it to Hope in an Echo if you don't go 140 km/h

Just keep it topped up, there are signs out there so you wont get screwed.

Fill up before the passes and keep an eye out for any stations.

Have fun man, wish I was there too.

Not even close.

I think England is close to 1.80 Pounds per litre of gas. That is almost 4 dollars!!!!!

Don't speed around Revelstoke. ALWAYS cops waiting, even at 1am.

Edit: But of course he's already left.
