Moved to Sunday. They're about to get hit with a Typhoon (or a hurricane on our side of the world).

Windspeeds of 200km/h with tons of water makes things a little dangerous.

Anyone watch practice last night in the super wet conditions? Pretty crazy stuff!

Man, just did a search on that storm to see how bad it is... it's a category 5! Florida had it easy!

so they're doing practice and race in one night? :D crazy. practice was awsome. that one turn caught everyone out, i think it was the first "S". i don't get why they can't race in 200 kmh winds, its just more downforce

it was funny watching the camera men try to keep up wit the practice last night...all you could see was fog. they did most of the laps using the on board cameras.... i hope the race goes well though..i know takuma is really going for this one.. a japanese driver in a japanese car would go really well over there!!!:drama:

It's a british car. Only the engine is Japanese.

Sato is pretty much British as well

awesome qualifying session  Race is going to kick ass in a couple hours. It was exciting to see Jax qualify so well and beat Alonso's time. Im glad he's giving value to Renault after his so-so performance in China. Everyone was drifting on their dry tires around the damp track. Its going to be a great race for sure!

is it just me, or like one day qualify + race is pretty awesome, i mean, who the hell cares about qualifying a day before the race, but now that its on the same day, i like it imo!!

damn kimi! not even top 10:banghead: :banghead:

i like it because it makes it more of an "event". Its a whole night of F1 instead of staggered over a few days. I end up missing most of the qualifying anyways. This way i can make a point of watching it back to back. But Japan is good because its late on Saturday night so its kind of like prime time for me. Sunday morning at 5am for most races in Europe i just brutal. No way im waking up early on a weekend. I'll catch the replay on Speed later in the evening.

Sato's drift into the chicane and into provisional pole... PRICELESS!

Too bad it kept getting dryer and dryer, the times are pretty much meaningless hehe. Interesting race that's for sure!

Suzuka's sweet cuz it's very similar to Midfield from GT3.

Haven't followed F1 much this year, has Shumacher won it all yet?:drama:

i was mildly annoyed... the stupid director kept filming sato when there was so many other things going on. Prime example is the barrichello, coulthard incident.

and suprise suprise schumacher takes first AND second!

i also wanted satos to be on the pole and i'm sure he feels like he let the country down too even with a 4th place finish, no 3rd place is no podium after all

The home crowd went all out for him. The whole pit crew were wearing the Japanese rising sun bandanas, the crowds made up these 2 HUGEEEE banners that said his said with the BAR colors as the background.

Man o Man

I wish they would have qualifying and the race one after another every race weekend.

I wish JV had a better performance, did pretty strong in qualifying.

It was a good race overall. The lower end battles were damn exciting, lots of cool wheel to wheel action.

Too bad we didn't get to see DC and RB's crash until after the race was over. Stupid Sato favored coverage and replays! :banghead:
