Alpine Type R, or Type X if you have the $

W7 is not $400... I am not sure if a Type X is. I think Visions had them for $399 for a 10" (you don't want a 10") and $449 for a 12"... BUUUT all Type X subs have been recalled, so maybe you should hold off on getting one.

a 12 inch W7 is like $500 a piece, which is kinda pricey. i was trying to go towards somin a bit less expensive but just as good. i guess nobody knows about adire brahma or digital designs? and i dont think the Type R's will b strong enough

W7 for $500 a piece? WHERE??
I haven't heard any details on the recall, but apparently it was a pretty major problem, something to do with assembly. Canada got Type X subs after the States though, so we probably weren't affected by the recall. Make sure you get a good warranty if you get a Type X thogh.

12W7 is about $470 a piece from www.allcarstereo.com, shipping depends on where you are located

btw my friend got a dual voice coil sub and i wanna parallel the two voice coils together. would it make a difference if i wire the 2 coils then one wire from that leading to the amp or if the long wire to the amp was connected directly to one of the coils?

Thats prolly american dollars man. W7's are expensive like hell. If you get it from there, by the time you end up getting it, it should easily go upto a grand.

it is american dollars, im from america lol. if you get it shipped in the 48 contigious states, it shouldnt be too much for shipping.

a type r should suit you fine, theyre good quality and they pump fairly well, plus theyre in your price range

wouldnt type X be going a little far for him?

I think Alpine type R's are the best for the money.

This guy want's a brahma and you guys are telling him to get a type r, please tell me you guys are joking?

meh485 look into the resonant engineering xxx it is similer to the brahma in price and performance, and both of those should sound nearly as good and loud as the w7 for alot less coin

I had a 12" Brahma fed by 1500W last year and it _KICKED_ ass. Very good sub.

I'd buy one again if I had the trunkspace for it.

The RE XXX is very similar to the Brahma. It's based off of the same design.

I sold it after having it sit around for awhile.

Great subs though. I'm looking at getting a 10" in the future.

I have a 15" brahma right now and i paid about 450 for it new it pounds just insanely clean and it has all the thump you could ever want. I have it in a 1.5 cu ft sealed box and it is still loud as hell. I have never seen move as much as that beast does. i have never heard or so much as seen a w7 but i can say that the brahma does pound and it does it good. if i had to i would probably seel my brahma for 375 but that would only be if i had to sell it. I dont know if it helps you that much but my brahma in its sealed box is at least 2x louder than my old kicker 12" L7 in a 3.25 cu ft ported box so if that is of any help.
