So im browsing through the magazine, the 92-95 Honduh Civic is in 2nd place!!! and the Supra made it in 47th place...But then I guess the Civics are the backbone of this sport compact craze...but still it shouldnt be #2!!! lol

The list was pretty weak. Pretty much SCC wanking off again. Since when is the Supra, 350z, 300z, Skyline, etc., etc. Sport Compacts? Cool cars? Yeah. Compact? Eh, no.

#49 1989-93 Nissan 240SX-The S13 Silvia was sold mostly as a cheap "girl" friendly commuter. Now it's recognized as the great drifting machine.

#59 1995-1998 Nissan 240SX, Just as overlooked as all of Nissans previous Silvias in America, the rear drive S14s reputation rebounded with the growth of drifting.

s14 is #59, but s13 is #49...

I dont think it made the list. It doesnt really matter much the results are as lame as SCC itself. Not sure how a civic qualifies as a sports car.

Ill do the top 10:
10- 85-87 Toyota Corolla GT-S
9- 68-73 Datsun 510
8- 62-03 Adustin mini cooper
7- 90-94 Nissan Skyline GT-R
6- 94-98 Toyota Supra
5- 76-85 VW GTI
4- 97-01 Intaegra Type R
3- 2002-present WRX
2- 92-95 Civic
1- Mitsubishi EVO VIII
They didn't rank the cars purely on performance and looks, it was more of the impact that the car has made on the Sport Compact industry. I think in the regard the list is pretty accurate.

COMPACT CARS in their magazine, is defined by 4 or 6 cylinder engines, they kind of chose the most modded sport compact cars of all time id say, skylines and supra s didnt come up too good, not even the old corolla's did that great. it like M_power said, they were ranked on the impact they had, not performance, and the evo recently just was likea bombshell.

I still can't understand a word you say and I still think their list was weak. My point was that the list is really meaningless IMO because they cater their definitions to the rice boiz.

I like Skylines and Supras and many other cars on the list. That doesn't make them Sport Compacts anymore than a Corvette or Camaro is a Sport compact. Notice the cars will have similar dimensions?

but they are catering to their reading audience in that sense, you dont see ads in scc for many domestic-muscle parts

"compact"

i seriously dont recall skyline/supra to be anything compact....and if they are rating it on the impact of the car... civic would most definity win #1, not evo8...

so wtf, did mitsu pay them to make the "LIST"?? overall, this is weak

Yea i agree the list was weak....

AND IF ANY OF YOU STILL CANT UNDERSTAND

when this magazine says "COMPACT CAR" they mean:
powered by a 4 or 6 cylinder engine
