Anyone know if you can get HID for a 2003 Altima in Canada? I looked on nissanusa.com and you can, but I don't see it on nissan.ca.

Thanks,

b.

nissan.ca is usually pretty slow. Best to just call up the dealership and ask.

If they have it on the US model I'm sure they have it on Canadian models as well.

I thought it was standard in the 3.5SE U.S. models and not in Canada?

I thought they came with the SE sport package? :dunno:

Went to the dealership today. Sunridge Nissan. The sales man was way cool. We took out the 3.5 SE with a 5 speed. It has mad power. Too much I think for a front wheel drive car. The torque steer is a little un-nerving.

If you are changing lanes and flooring it at the same times, you have to be careful... I bet you could get used it to it... I want a G35 or a 350Z now. I can only imagine what the same engine does in those cars!

HID's aren't offered here in Canada for the altima's
they weren't last year and i'm positive they aren't on this year either

u can always order a housing w/ ballest etc. on the net if u want it...

I thought the G25's had 255hp? And isn't the Maxima RWD also?

G35 is 260 hp I think and Maxima is a front wheel drive as far as I know.

On some Maxima web sites the owners are complaing (even thinking of taking legal action against Nissan) that they got ripped off as they claim no difference in HP between the altima and the maxima in dyno tests. :nut:

2. G35S - 260hp, G35C - 280hp
3. Maxima is a FWD with a helical LSD

I don't believe there is any difference in SPec-V vs SE-R Either. The Spec-V is advertised as 10 more horses than the SE-R.

I doubt you can get anywhere on legally without actually removing a number of engines and dynoing them at the crank.

The dude told me that the difference between spec V and se-r is the exhaust... which could make 10 horses... so just buy the se-r and get aftermarket exhaust...

I think my salesman's name was Brad O.

Yea the part numbers for exhaust are the same, some people think its in the ECU tuning. But they dyno the same numbers, and ppl just attribute it to greater drivetrain loss (Hlsd, 6spd tranny).

whatever!
