I need to write this out in full format.

Jared, Heather and Red share the ownership of a bot and have to pay docking fees of $385 total. If the partners own shares in the ratio of 2:5:6 determine the amount of docking fees that each member should pay.

Now I know its ratio based. It is out of 13ths (2+5+6)

So its in 13ths...fivide 385 by 13 and you get the amount of one share, X. Now multiply x accordingly:

X times 2= partner with two shares
X times 5 =Partner with 5 shares
X times 6= partner with 6 shares

Voila

I thought you were in college? what kind of pussy math is this?

Jared= 59.24
Heather=148.10
Red=177.72

these are rounded answers.... for exact answers take
385/13 =n
then:
n x 2= y
n x 5= y
n x 6= y

y is your answer for each ratio. Hope that helps.

taste of your own comments perhaps?

maybe you should help the guy with his math problem as that is what he asked for. He didn't ask to be cut down and ridiculed.

Thanks for coming out.
