With the whole craze of importing cars from japan going on I was wondering if anyone has or will be getting something over from europe?A buddy of mine was thinking about a cossie escort.I've done some looking but can't seem to find anyone who deals with european cars.I'd think driving around in a cossie or maybe a lotus carlton would be just as cool as some of the jdm cars.

It has to be 15 years old before being allowed here from Europe, just like Japan.

There are some that snuck its way across the border out in BC though.

yeah I figured that the laws are the same regardless of where the car is coming from.

What is the penalty if you have an illegally imported car out of curiousity?

A Lotus Carlton would be amazing. Alot of European cars made their way to Japan, they're rare but they can found with some patience.

I've got a contact for cars from Germany if you're interested. Import Concern may begin offering cars from Germany soon too.

They're supposed to seize the car and fine you, but Customs has been a joke as long as I've been importing.

Yeah a lotus carlton would be so sweet, most people have never even heard of them.Trying to find sites on these cars is pretty tough. The cossies are what my buddy was thinking.I'm not sure what years the models changed,I doubt a mk5 would be legal yet but the mk4 are still sweet cars.Christian I'll have to get in touch with you about your contacts in europe,I didn't know you were dealing from there also.
