The much-maligned Pontiac Aztek will be cancelled after 2005. The reason for it lasting that long is to recoup manufacturing costs and avoid farther embarrassment on the program. The vehicle will be renamed and replaced with a clone of the next generation Buick Rendezvous. It will be the end of one of the biggest embarrassments in GM's history, as the Aztek was expected to sell 70,000 vehicles a year yet has never cracked the 20,000 sales mark.

i think Aztek has the right concept, just the design is a bit out of its time.. and it has a pontiac badge

Exactly, if Say Honda came out with Vehicle with the Design and versatility like the Aztek( wouldnt be as ugly in sure)..it would have sold ALOT more. but its Pontiac, what can you expect... j/k no bashing intended!

that new honda suv aztec style (function not looks) will prob. sell better, but sure as hell not from me, i think it looks like a big ass.

Honda is coming out with a similar concept. Its fugly imo, its called the Element. It doesn't come with a tent though...

Hahaha the tent idea was funny... damn I remember when Ford went tried to target the same market and offered a tent for the F-150s!!!

They had that for the Ranger too...I remember seeing a green or black Ranger at an auto show with a big dome tent in the box :rofl:
