K I got a crazy amount of photo radar tickets and parking tickets. I need have these paid by the end of the month or i can't renew my registry. I was wondering if I could go to court and have the tickets reduced at all, even tho they are past due. Does points do anything like this?

thats the sad truth, unless god forsaken your family member died or something like that, the judge could get rid of the fines!

Uhm, note to all people who get tickets. You aren't guilty of anything just because you 'got a ticket'. When your ticket is 'past due' - LOL - you have missed your date of appearance. In that case, you are then convicted in your absence. Oh, and uhm, you just missed your chance to plead not guilty or attempt a plea bargain with the crown. LMAO!

Don't all the fines DOUBLE when you don't pay them? Maybe not double, but now there is a surcharge right?

So if you thought it was gonna be expensive before, you're in for a nice wake up call.

I believe it's a percentage of the ticket, maybe 30%?? My brother forgot to pay a ticket, it was a $35 ticket, it's now over a year late, and I believe it's up to $72 now.

Man, you don't have any choice except to pay up, or not renew.

dont you eventually get a warrant for your arrest if you have a certian number of them?

It's 20% or $20, whichever is greater for the late fee.

Only if it's a ticket that you got pulled over for and was charged with as the driver. Photoradar and parking tickets are given to the owner of the car, so it's not as severe I think.

In either case, the author of the thread is going to have a hefty registration fee this year.......and I thought the regular price was high enough.

Nah, not all the time. Some of them use pretty slick locations and hard to spot. Behind the bush shelter on 14st NW is pretty stealth for one. But the other locations are a dead giveaway and dead easy to spot like on Crowchild Tr Northbound before Memorial Bridge......the only van on the side of the road lol.
