View Full Version : anyone heard of this "11 second V6 CRX"

has anyone heard of a CRX with a 3.2 Vtec accord motor in it that runs "below 11s" before? an old acquintance asked if id race, when i ask what he says a crx, and when i talk to the owner of the car, "3.2L V6 11 seconds blah blah"....now, just wondering, is this car real? im sure some1s heard of it at least, its from a lil mechanic shop in applewood or something...jus wondering if its tru or not..

oh yea, and he said hes ran his car in calgary and made those sub 11 times....whch i thnk would be record breaking for fastest fwd in alberta, no?

If someone says they need a V6 to run 11's, then they're probably lying ;).

that would be lots of modification in a crx's engine compartment to fit a accord v6 in it but it might work i your willing to pay i guess you can do anything

I frequested the track for the last 5 years....never seen an 11 second CRX....I think your leg is going to come out at the socket to your hip.

That sounds like it hurt!:D Anyways I think I remember hearing about a v6 swapped in a CRX in the states, but it was out of an NSX and was actually midengined (used all the NSX parts but put it in a CRX) (LOTS OF $$$$) maybe it was in one of my mags... I'll look. As afr as Calgary goes... never seen or heard nuthin and somone would've!

Well if the story involved a 3.2 VTEC Accord engine, you can call BS on that right away! Accords are still running 3.0. But if you go by DonJuan's version of the story, then that makes more sense a 3.2 DOHC VTEC NSX engine. Still 11 sec here with that set-up is still fishy.

An Acura 3.2CL type S engine would be nice in a CRX... I have no idea how thats possible but sure.. but 11s I dunno..

I know exactly what you are talking about, there is some alcholic trinidadian guy who claims he has this done to his crx, he's been pitching that story to people for over a year now, use to run alittle place called "xtatix imports" or something over by staples in the south east by pick your part. don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. he doesn't have a have crx with an accord engine in it.

ahah, exact same, apparently some kid i know is his customer, and he wants to race me in his "sub 11s" car for 2 Gs :clap:
i said ill pay 500 bux jus for a vid of that thing running w/ that motor

apparently hes getting the vid for me today, i told him the hood has to be up, the car has to move forward w/ that 3.2 L motor running inside of it, and no1 can b behind/beside the car at the time
