my friends got a set of 17x7.5 wheels with 215/40/17 tires. he wants to use the wheels in winter and also reduce the wheel gap on his 97 TSi. the 215/40s are too low pro (thin) so definitly not good for winter.
what tires would be best for this setup. right now its a pretty big fender gap like 2.5-3 inches.
i was thinking maybe 215/50/17, but would it work with the 7.5 width?
also refer me to some places that have good prices! i dont know anywhere.
