Everytime I go to start my laptop this screen comes up saying something is wrong and there was a powerfailure. I have tried everything that it tells me to do but it keeps coming up. Any suggestions?

Are you shutting down properly? You might be getting this message because of improper shut down when you're done with the computer...

Throw the win2000 CD in the drive and follow the instructions.

Might need to start the comp with the disc in.

Normally, windows 2000 will shutdow properly by click the shutdow icon. But if you use your power button (in most case it should be hold on in 4-5 sec), your laptop will shutdown inproperly, and get you last time startup failure report like what you said before.

Of course, it might be other reasons like your hard disk error and your windows system error, etc.

BTW, do you have any recovery CD for your laptop? In the case you don't have any windows 2000 or XP installation CDROMs, you could still use it.

What version of windows are you running? That startup screen looks like it's from either windows 2000 or else windows XP.

If its windows XP, boot into safe mode, than run system restore and restore windows to a previous date.
