I am pretty sure that there is no crx club in alberta, But I think it would be cool if there was. I am wondering how many guys on the board drive rex's? And if anyone was interested in either starting a crx club or getting together for a big crx meet?

^^^ Nice. Im doing the b16/b20 swap over the winter. Id like to see it when you get it done! I was looking into running a supercharger but im limited in the amount of funds i have till im done school, but maybe i can hook a good accounting job over the summer.

Yeah, I too have been saving up a while for my swap for some time now. It's all worth it in the end. Superchargers are the safe way to go.

According to my best sources, it was September 1989. Do you have any links showing July 1989?

Did you import yourself or buy from someone? I know of 4 SiR's that arrived long before July 2004 (edit: not July 1989).

I'm just trying to help. Some people buy cars unknowingly from shady importers that were imported under the 15 year rule that aren't actually 15 years old, I highly suspect that your SiR was imported like this because it is only October and I have good information that EF8's came out in September 1989. Also, there are two major illegal importers in the Edmonton area, so it wouldn't surprise me if your car was imported by one of them.

I've collected sample chassis codes for many JDM EF's, so I have a good idea what was manufactured when, you don't have to go to Japan to be knowledgeable in JDM cars. I'll stay out of your thread, I just wanted a last post.

Anyways, my car is still doing bad. The insurance from the guy who hit me STILL hasn't seen my car yet to evaluate the damages. IT's been almost 2 months now and I call them twice a week. I dunno why it's taking so long.

not to destroy the thread or anything.... but if you have an 89 sir that was imported before last month, its illegal.

i did so much dam research on that shit and sept was the date that 89 jdm sir's became legal. <----period.

i'd come out for a crx meet even though i sold my rex..... i tried organizing a few when i had it but there wasnt any interest.

You started off talking about a meet. Then you asked what people were driving and posted that you had a JDM SiR. You changed topics in the middle of your thread.

There is a thread for illegal cars, but we were merely trying to inform you of the possibility that your car was illegal. I know another beyond member who bought a 1992 JDM CR-X unknowingly (was advertised as a 1988) and was very interested in finding out the true age of his car. If you want to be ignorant to this possibility, then so be it.
