There is no difference, It's just different terminology based on what year the car was made:

After 1973 it's called a turbo

Before 1973 it's called a Supercharger or blower!

supercharger is powered by a belt, and the turbo charger is exhaust powerd

supercharger has instant power
turbocharger has turbo lag

none is better then the other, just depends on whut u gonna use it for...

most people like the turbo cuzz its cool sounds it gives off...and most cases make more hp...also depends on size of turbosharger

there are your turbo links

a blower (supercharger) is belt driven at the front of the motor

a turbo (single or twin) are placed somewhat close to the exhaust manifold (header) due to heat helps spin the turbine wheel inside. With turbos these days there is very minimal lag due to the design efficency companies know now with diffent exhaust housings and diffent wheels. In the late 80s turbos were known to lag a bit (ie grand nationals, porsches).

*pulls hair out* SCROLL DOWN that exact question was asked what.....a week ago?

this forum should implement a feature for new registrants!!
- you must first use the search function 10 times before you are allowed to post......is this not unrealistic?

Or people could simply ignore these posts forcing the thread starter to stop being so lazy and do a search.
