T-Wolves.

KG has tasted playoff success and now there's no Lakers to spoil the party. I just hope they don't pick up that loser Malone; that would assure them of failure once again. :thumbsdow

Heat. Shaq is in shape and motivated, and will be pretty much unstopable, especially in the East. Wade isn't quite as good as Kobe yet, but he doesn't rape people, and knows that its a good idea to pass the most dominant player alive. the rest of the Heat are better than the Lakers were when they won the 3 championships too

But it could really be any of the 4:

Pistons
Heat
Wolves
Spurs

really though prob going to go with detroit, if they can keep the chemistry, and ben just killing everyone on the boards, they should do alright, maybe make a mid season trade or to to strengthen their gaurds (4 gaurds 1 year or less nba experience)

:werd: At least they got a good backup PG now in barry and kept the core players like ginobilli,bowen,horry etc.

Maybe Rockets if Yao and Mcgrady can share the ball...

I think its a toss up this year between detroit, san antonio, and minny

Miami would be in their but they havnt had enuf experience 2gether.......

i don't think there'll be an sharing issue since Yao is a pretty quite laid back guy (well a big part of that is because his english sucks) so as long as T-mac doesn't stop whining and the guards (other than T-mac) play solid i think they have a big chance

i disagree i think houston has no chance at winning a championship this year and probably even next year.....for a team to be championship caliber they must have chemistry and experience 2gether......look at the last 6 champions
Spurs in 1999 and 2003- The towers had been 2gether since 1997
Lakers from 2000-2002 - Kobe and Shaq had been 2gether since 1996....sure kobe was just a raw rookie, but none the less it took time for them to mesh...
Pistions 2004- Aside from the additiion of R.Wallace they have basically been the same team for the last 3 years.

im going for denver, kind of an underdog, but now they have martin which is good for them.
