Put it on a flat bed, take out battery, parts it out.

All security counter measure is useless without power unless it's a self destruction mechanism.

How is this list compiled? I'm guessing it's the percentage of vehicles on the road. Example:

1500 Escalades on the road, 15 get stolen = 1% of all escalades

15,000,000 Camrys on the road 1500 get stolen= .1% of all camrys.

That would mean statistically escalades are stolen more yet 100 times more Camrys are stolen. Those crazy stats can mean anything.

Taking out the battery won't do it as the onstar system will be able to tell when you take the bettery out. What thieves CAN do is set off a very small EMP (electro-magnetic pulse) near the ECU which will temporarily sever the link with onstar, giving them a wndow to disconnect the "brain box" (kina like a black box on airplanes) and connect a dummy one that will send the all clear signal. Once this is done... the thief can take his time to start the car and drive away.

BTW: It should take 3 guys about 2 mins to do all of this.

what rex did you buy? lol subaru uses a plain key. not even chipped so im thinkin the car itself can be easiliy stolen. and i dont think there were any 2000 wrx's. they came out in 2002 over here i beleive.
